Everybody needs a coach

Eric Schmidt says, “Everybody needs a coach.”

Here is a 40 second video in which the then CEO of Google, made that statement. It is worth noting that he is now the chairman of Google.

I have been asked before by people why they should have a coach. In fact one of my old bosses, a sales director from years ago actually said something along these lines, “I don’t need a coach. I already know what to do and how to do it. I am driven.”
Coaching is not just about helping you to drive your ideas forward. It is not to tell you what to do. Coaching has many benefits; like bouncing ideas, discovering new ways of doing things or other avenues to take when things are not quite working the way you want them too. This might be in relationship to business coaching, life coaching, sports coaching, or other areas of life.

Why everybody needs a coach.

There is so much that coaching can actually assist with. It is not as some people might perceive, because you are doing something wrong. It is about helping you to improve in the areas you would like to improve upon. Or maybe move in a new direction with your life. Or possibly to stop doing certain things. Coaching benefits all parts of our professional and personal lives.
