Feed your mind

Answer the following questions honestly, “How do you make sure that you stay at the forefront of your industry and ahead of your competitors? Do you innovate and think about the future of your business or do you just plod along hoping for the best?”
You can follow that up by asking yourself, “Am I truly happy with where I am in my professional and personal life?”

Evidence has shown that if we keep our minds active with new learning’s, then we can reduce the risk of some ageing illnesses. Surely that is already a great reason to consistently learn and expend our minds. The side effect is that it can also have a dramatic influence on your business.

Feed your mind through perpetual learning.

The wealthy know that school is never out and we should be in perpetual learning and investing in their knowledge bank. Ignorance is not bliss. It reminds me of the story about the Hudson River airplane landing. When Chesley Burnett “Sully” Sullenberger, III was asked about how he managed to land the plane safely on the water, he said something along the following lines. “Every time I flew I was making small deposits in the bank of experience. Then on that day I needed to make large withdrawal.” It is important for us to consistently learn and make deposits in our bank of knowledge and experience. Thus it is imperative that we feed our mind. It is as easy as spending 30-60 minutes per day, investing in our learning. Reading or listening to something educational every day. That does not include watching TV or listening to the radio. Fill your mind with something that is actually going to benefit you.

Feed your mind

Read successful people’s autobiographies.

Listen to leaders in their field or read autobiographies of successful people. Of course successful is a relative term, so go with whatever that means in your model of the world. Be inspired and learn from the best, so that you can become the best you can be. This does not necessarily mean financial. It is in whatever area of life you want it to be. You may want to listen to audio books if you don’t like reading. The point is to invest in yourself, in whatever area of your life you choose.

To supplement this journey of education, consider spending the first 30-60 minutes of your day in a place where you can be free from distractions. Focusing on one area of your life or business you want to improve upon. If you could improve just one percent each day, then you would have improved over 360 percent in the year. What would that mean to your business or life? Get really deep and vertical in your search for improvement. You will soon become a leader in that area of your life and others will want to learn from you. This is a whole different way of exercising and feeding your mind. It will help the creative side of you to blossom and you will be become much faster at problem solving in various areas of your life.

Rise earlier to feed your mind.

It has been said that most successful people start earlier in the morning than the average man and woman. Early mornings are a great time as distractions are kept to a minimum and your mind is fresh. It also means you have done it and so if nothing else, you would have accomplished a lot during the day.
There are a number of ways to feed your mind. My questions to you are, “How will you feed your mind? What ideas can you come up with? When will you start?” We have created a free NLP course for you to help on your journey of learning.
